Why does it cost so much?

The saying "you get what you pay for" is all too true. While paying cheaper prices are nice, some things in life are worth investing in and I feel your photographs are worth it! Time is fleeting, so capturing those precious moments are priceless. The main reason Custom Portrait Photography costs so much more than studio chains is because your photographer is investing a great amount of time in YOU. Each photo is hand edited and a lot of time and effort goes into each photo. 

Am I right for you?

I have so many inspirations that come from many different places and I try to implement them in my images. I love raw and real emotion and at the same time I love directed poses. I adore beautiful natural lighting, incredible backgrounds and choosing locations very carefully. I believe in great customer service and will continually strive to provide my clients the best experience every session. There are those that believe and I am one of them; "A talent is provided from a higher power". In fact, many have stated that; "I have an innate talent to capture the true essence of life and all beauty within each session".

How & When will I receive my photos?

My goal is to make sure that you receive the BEST final product I can give you, which can take some time. While I want to get them back to you as soon as possible because I know you will be dying to print them. I cherish the fact that these photos are your most precious memories that will last a lifetime and will be passed on to your future generations. My typical turnaround time for sessions is between 3-5 weeks. Also, please note that Edited/Fully Retouched images delivery varies (i.e., High Resolution Digital Download Delivery, USB, or DVD-R).

Will I receive prints?

I now offer Prints, Canvases, and Metal Prints! For pricing click here. Prints can be added to any package of your choosing. In addition, I also offer a beautiful Photofolio with a 4GB USB & 5 of your favorite 5x7 prints, Classic Snap Print and Flash Box with a Crystal 4GB USB and 5 of your favorite 5x7 prints, and they make GREAT gifts.

Will I receive a print release?

Yes, with each package I provide a print release and you can print to your hearts desire at any printer that you like. They make the best gifts!! I also provide print services. Let me take the hassle from you. :)

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, I do have a 3 month, 6 month, and 9 month payment plans on select packages. Please Contact Us for Details!

What happens during a session?

During a session, I will get several different pictures; such as, group pictures, small group pictures, individual pictures, couples pictures, and candid pictures (when applicable). My aim is to provide a plethora of pictures for my clients to choose from.  

Do you have a HMUA - Professional Hair and Makeup Artist you use?

Yes, I have many artists I work with. Cost is $135 per person.

Do you photograph Events & Weddings?

Yes, every once in awhile I do if my schedule allows it. Please Contact Us for details.

Do you have a List of Locations to choose from?

Yes! Once the clients pay the $50 Non-Refundable Booking Fee I will send an extensive location list with amazing locations that many photographers don't know of. Foreign Perceptions Photography puts in a lot of work to find amazing locations to do memorable photos at and we want them to be exclusive for you!

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, Consultations are free of charge. I always love meeting with potential clients before we schedule. I think it is essential to go over your wants, expectations, etc. If you would prefer going over details via e-mail,  phone, Zoom that is absolutely okay. Note: For all packages, I do require $50 Non-Refundable Booking Fee as well as a signed contract outlining details. The contract can be signed in person during a consultation or emailed.

What form of payment methods do you accept?

I accept Cash, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or *Debit/Credit Card through Square ONLY. I do not accept Check or PayPal. *Note: Surcharge of 3.5% will be added on for Debit/Credit Card payments. 

Do you require a Retainer or Booking Fee?

Yes, for all packages, I do require a $50 Non-Refundable Booking Fee to secure date and time and the is applied to the total session cost. Please Contact Us for details.


-A 6% Idaho State Sales Tax will be added to every package

-We accept Cash, Money Order, Cashier's Check, and *Debit/Credit Card through Square ONLY. We DO NOT accept check or PayPal.

*Note: Debit/Credit Card does have an additional 3.5% surcharge as well as the 6% Idaho State Sales Tax. 

-We offer Complimentary In-Person and Over-the-Phone Consultations for all Packages. Please Contact Us for Details.

-All Packages require a Non-Refundable $50 Booking Fee (except Graphic Design/Business Branding) which is applied to the total session cost. The Non-Refundable $50 Booking Fee is due within 24 hours (unless otherwise agreed upon) of scheduling the session. If the Non-Refundable $50 Booking Fee is not paid within 24 hours (unless otherwise agreed upon), the session date and time will remain open.
